2008-2009 Year-in-Review Slide Show and Annual Meeting Recap

2008-2009 Annual Meeting Recap (scroll down for slide show)

On Sunday, October 4, 2009, Pegasus held our Annual Meeting to review the past year and share our plans for the future. The meeting included a financial report by Board Treasurer Susan Kozera (see below), a vote to approve Joseph Cusato as a new board member, and a slide show highlighting the many amazing moments of 2008-2009 (see below).

After the slide show, Board President Sue McGraw closed the meeting by thanking departing board members Betty Foulk and Peter Streinger for their years of dedicated service, and Farmwarming Chairperson Jamie Prusak for all her hard work organizing the event.

Guests were also treated to a therapeutic riding demonstration by Pegasus rider Ari, assisted by instructors Suzy Angier, Betsy Stein Medinger and Rachel Keller, volunteers Charlotte Cavanaugh and Sue Brubaker, and therapy horse Hobbs. Photos of Ari are included in the Farmwarming slide show (see link on sidebar at right).

Treasurer's Report as of August 31, 2009:

Cash balances were a sum total of approximately $455,000, which is $85,000 less than the balances at the beginning of our fiscal year.

The remainder of our assets are, essentially, Pegasus Farm, equipment, horses and improvements. Phase I of our construction project has been completed. Our new covered area has enhanced the beauty of our farm and the quality of our program.

Our property is owned without any encumbrances. Pegasus does not have any liabilities at August 31, 2009, beyond what would be paid within the normal 30-day course of business.

Total cash expenditures exceeded Annual Drive and Capital Contributions
by approximately $85,000, which speaks to the overall decrease in our cash position.

Our budget for the next fiscal year is $1.36 million, which is attainable and balanced.
